Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2010/2011 Season are October 2nd & 3rd at the Eisenhower Community Center.

ELIGIBILITY: Players in grades 5th - 8th must attend or live within District 270 boundaries; 4th graders may try out for a 5th grade team.  Parents wanting a waiver for their son to play up a grade must attend the September 8th Board Meeting at 7:00 PM - Hopkins High School Fireside Room.

SELECTION PROCESS:  Tryouts will be conducted by grade level with selection based on independent evaluators and HRBBA coaches assessment of skills and qualities to build the best team.  Parents are NOT allowed in the gym during tryouts.  This is a competitive program, and not every player who tries out will be selected for a team.  Each team will carry a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 players per team.

TRYOUT WEEKEND:  All potential players must attend both Saturday and Sunday tryout sessions.  All players must be signed in by a parent or legal guardian at registration.  There will be a mandatory meeting for all parents following registration.
